Terms of Service

Welcome to Studio. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Studio booking platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or booking an appointment through the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Studio is

Studio is a booking tool for independent hair stylists and braiders. It helps a stylist take appointment requests, share prices, collect optional deposits, and send confirmations. Studio facilitates the connection between a stylist and their clients — it is not a party to the appointment itself, and it does not provide hair services.

2. Accounts (stylists)

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
You are responsible for the services, prices, rules, and policies you publish, and for honoring the bookings you accept.
You are responsible for your own tax, licensing, and legal obligations as an independent business.

3. Bookings & deposits

A booking is an arrangement between the client and the stylist. Each stylist sets their own services, prices, rules, and cancellation/deposit policy.
Where deposits are enabled, they are processed by Stripe and paid to the stylist. Refunds are at the stylist's discretion in line with their stated policy.
Clients agree to follow the stylist's posted rules and preparation requirements for a service.

4. Payments

Payments and payouts are handled by Stripe. Studio does not store full card details. Your use of payments is also subject to Stripe's terms.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to send spam, harass others, post unlawful content, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the platform.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or any particular booking outcome.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between a stylist and a client arising from an appointment.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
